Gain work skills

Your future made here

Can’t get a job due to lack of work experience? It’s a vicious circle, isn’t it?

We help break that circle. We’re here to give you work experience so that you can become financially independent.

Many of the young people we support face multiple work barriers due to disability, health, or a criminal record. But background and qualifications don’t matter to us: all that matters is that you’re keen to find a job.

We give you a ‘safe space’ to do just that. We’ll support you through developing your individual timetable and route to progression, with opportunities to create your own support network and peer .

Here’s how Back Your Future can help you:

1:1 mentoring

Weekly 1:1s with your Employment Coach to develop a job plan, provide a listening ear, boost your confidence and help keep you on track.

Weekly work experience

Shifts in our streetwear and vintage stores for hands-on experience, with Circle Collective retail managers. Learn about customer service, communication skills, the importance of teamwork and time-keeping, how to handle tills and cash, and lots of other essential skills. At the end, you’ll have a reference for your CV.

Job Club

How to find the right job and right career. We’ll help you identify your transferable skills, understand the best ways to search and apply for jobs, and create a CV and cover letter for success.

Interview prep / mock interviews

How to prepare for an interview and nail it – from what to wear to what questions you might be asked, and even how to get into the right frame of mind!

Corporate Insight Days

We partner with amazing corporate supporters looking to build a diverse workforce with the ideas and skills to create winning teams.

They’re keen to help you get onto your career ladder, and share their experiences and knowledge. Attend inspiring sessions on mock interviews, women in tech, unconscious bias, voice projection, critical thinking, building a personal brand, protecting your credit rating, and how failing is crucial to succeeding.

Motivational workshops

Whether it’s a session on confidence building, goal setting or how to handle certain workplace situations, learn how to build resilience, grow confidence and overcome everyday challenges.

Why sign-up?

Join Circle Community as a trainee and you’ll join a tribe of like-minded young people, who fully understand the challenges of being a young adult looking for work. You also get access to a network of dedicated mentors, employers, corporate organisations and role models committed to supporting you into long-term employment.

We can help you find opportunities in retail, hospitality, customer service, health and social care, childcare, security, and administration. Concerned about showing your best self in a job interview? Don’t be: wherever possible, we’ll ask employers if you can demonstrate your skills in another way such as a work placement.

If you’d rather go into higher education or vocational training or an apprenticeship to help get the role you want, we can give the advice you need.

If you are working or thinking of working for yourself and need help understanding the ‘gig economy’, for example, your rights and responsibilities as a worker rather than an how to set up your own business, we’ve got that covered too.
